How to make a chart accounts

As in the process of setup of company we decided to make a charts we have clicked, build own company to maintain charts of accounts

Select the Charts of Accounts the screen will appear.







 In this we enter,
The Account ID: We write the code of our charts of accounts.
Account Description: name of accounts.
 Accounts type: Nature of accounts.



In this we are making charts of accounts. We click the Beginning Balances of accounts another window will appear to select the time period.


 




Click the time period. And press OK the screen will be appear 

In this we write the balances of accounts, at the end we have seen the credit and debit balances are equal then press OK  If balances are not the same there is a mistake in entering the data.



ADDING NEW ACCOUNT IN BEGINNING BALANCES.......


Enter a new account in the chart of accounts in Beginning Balance:

Enter the new account I.D.

Enter a description of the account.

Select a account type for the account

press  OK 


Deleting an account........

To delete an account you need to
Open that account in the Maintain Chart of Accounts
Click Chart of Accounts icon and select New Account from the drop down menu
 Maintain Chart of Accounts window will appear where you can enter the Account ID of the account
And delete the account

Customers default information…….. Peach-tree... 

First open the Peach tree setup, in this you click the option of maintain, press default information and then press customers...

The customer default window will appeared. In this you can build all your customer records. In this window there are many options like payment terms, account aging, custom field, finance charges and pay methods.




Payment term is used for customers recording. Select one of these to tell you the mode of payment.
Net due:            Enter number of days
Discount in:       Enter the number of days if payment is made before the date in which you allow customer to get discount.
Discount            The payment is made within the discount days
Credit Limit         It is the total amount of credit
G/L:                        Accounts tells the sales income
Discount G/L account  Enter the sales discount .




Custom fields are used to enter the information about the customers. It can change the  names of accounts according to your choice


Finance charge is used to enter the charges required to charge on overdue amount by the customers
